PRINCIPALÂ TEACHER
ROSS MILLAR
Having been inspired as a five year old by watching Michael Flatley in 'Riverdance,' I took my first steps into the dance world when I joined my local dance school's tap class.
At age 15, I began to learn Ballroom and Latin American and soon began to compete in national competitions. I soon achieved the highest level and some of my achievements include winning 'Britain's Best' ballroom event, being a Finalist at 'Champions of Tomorrow' and being a Grand Finalist at the invitational DPA Finals.
Having created my first dance company, Step By Step Dance Instruction in 2014, I fully dedicated myself to teaching full-time and we have gone from strength to strength ever since. Whether a budding World Champion or someone taking their first tentative steps to the dance-floor, I take great pride in guiding all dancers along their dance journeys.

Deciding to rebrand in 2021 as 'Dance HQ,' I am very excited to take even more styles of dance and movement into the Shropshire area.

LISA
Dance Assistant/Project Coordinator
Also known as Ross' better half, Lisa is a popular face at many of our classes.
​
Lisa regularly takes part in medalist competitions and was delighted to make the final at the UKA Grand Finals in Blackpool in 2019.
​
As well as helping out in the classes, Lisa plays a big role in helping to run the many events that we put on each year.
MELANIE
Dance Assistant
Having joined us as a complete beginner dancer in 2015 along with her partner Ian, Mel is a much valued and respected part of our team.
​
Always bringing a positive and often humorous vibe to classes, Mel is always keen to help our beginner dancers progress.
IAN
Dance Assistant
The other half of the Mel and Ian combo, Ian is always happy to partner our solo ladies in the classes.
​
Ian also takes part in medalist competitions and alongside his wife Mel, has achieved great success so far, winning his events on many occasions.
CHERYL
Dance Assistant
Joining our classes in 2016, Cheryl's infectious love of dance makes every class a blast!

A popular face at all our class venues, Cheryl is always on hand to partner our solo dancers, as well as assist and guide our couple's.
JO
Dance Assistant
Joining our West Felton class in 2015, Jo's dancing has gone from strength to strength in her time with us.

Regularly achieving top marks in her medal tests and competitions, Jo is always on hand to help our beginner dancers.
GEMMA
Dance Assistant
A regular and popular member of our Market Drayton classes, Gemma is always delighted to partner solo men and ladies alike.
​
Taking the plunge into competitions in 2019, Gemma has a had successful time so far and is a regular finalist in her events.
